LEAD 2024 Day 1: Inspiring Start with Leadership and Empathy
LEAD 2024, the three-day Leadership Training Program, was a prestigious program presented by Team Inspire & Srishti Campus in association with Alpha Palliative Care. Community Welfare Officers from various districts across Kerala were participated in the program. The LEAD was commenced on May 21, 2024 to May 23, 2024 at Veli Youth Hostel, Thiruvananthapuram. The three-days residential camp was ended up with roller-coaster of emotions and experiences.
The inaugural day of LEAD 2024, began with great enthusiasm and anticipation. The opening session on “Connecting Hearts and Minds,” a session led by Vishnu Prasad, Senior HRO & CSR Manager, Master Trainer in Life skills & Soft skills, Head of Team Inspire and Sujith Surendran, Program Coordinator Cum Corporate Trainer, team Inspire, Certified Life Skill & Soft Skill Trainer. This introductory session focused on fostering emotional connections among participants, emphasizing the importance of empathy in leadership. Following this, Sujith Surendran conducted “Leadership Dynamics,” where he explored different leadership styles and their impacts on team performance.
In the afternoon, Akhila Chandran, Corporate Trainer, Team Inspire, Certified Life Skill & Soft Skill Trainer facilitated “Leading through Change,” a session dedicated to change management strategies. Participants learned how to navigate organizational changes effectively and support their teams during transitions. Vishnu Prasad then took over with “Conflict Resolution and Leadership in Group Settings,” providing practical approaches to managing conflicts and fostering collaboration within teams.
The day concluded with the Whirl Pool Café and Fish Bowl Techniques, focusing on the discussion topic “Palliative Care 2030 – Scope, Opportunities, and Skills.” These interactive methods allowed participants to delve deep into the future of palliative care, sharing insights and brainstorming innovative ideas. The evening ended on a high note with a campfire and day evaluation, where participants reflected on their experiences and bonded over informal conversations.
