Empowering Future Dentists: The Art of Empathetic Listening at PMS Dental College Orientation

On behalf of Team Inspire and Srishti Campus, we are delighted to share the success of an engaging session on “Empathetic Listening” led by Mr. Vishnu Prasad, Senior HRO & CSR Manager, Master Trainer in Life skills & Soft skills, Head of Team Inspire for the BDS Batch 2024-25 during their orientation at PMS College. This session offered a unique opportunity to delve into the profound impact of listening with empathy—an essential skill for healthcare providers. The participants, each full of enthusiasm and curiosity, reflected on the true nature of listening, beyond mere sound, fostering an environment of thoughtful engagement.

Throughout the session, Mr. Vishnu Prasad guided the students through reflective questions: How can empathetic listening enhance patient connections? How does it establish trust and build rapport? By focusing on these aspects, the students recognized how empathy can strengthen patient relationships and enrich their professional practice. Their willingness to share personal experiences made the session dynamic and inspiring, as they eagerly absorbed the values of empathetic care.
